A large square scarf to wrap yourself up in and stay warm. Made of natural materials, this oversized scarf provides softness and warmth for winter cold. Its ethnic-influenced pattern is full of charm and originality. You will appreciate the finishes with long fringes (about 7cm) on two sides and thin hems on the other two sides. Can also be used as a throw blanket. Perfect for a gift. 100% made in Lyon, France.
INSPIRATION

The pattern of this large scarf is very sophisticated. Inspired by ethnic designs, several friezes arise like frames around a design with floral hues. Blended shades of color oscillate between red and grey. A design created by La Fabrique d’écharpe.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

For pairing with grey, camel, red, or burgundy coats. This large scarf adds a hippie chic touch to your look when paired with a jacket in warm shades of orange or yellow. You can wear this huge stole in many ways: as a scarf with several wraps around your neck to give a voluminous effect, or wrapped tightly around your shoulders, or as a shawl. You can also use it as a throw on your sofa.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash this wool scarf, we recommend hand washing. Do not let your scarf soak for too long, put it in a towel to soak up excess water but do not wring it, then lay it flat to dry. Iron on high heat with steam to restore all the fluffiness and softness of the scarf’s natural materials. While you may not put it in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The shaped weaving technique, known as the Jacquard method, used to make this scarf involves the interlacing of warp and weft threads according to a specific pattern. To do this, the weaving workshop of La Fabrique d'écharpe has its own Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom is a weaving loom developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, the first programmable mechanical system with punched cards to produce patterns by interweaving colored threads. Thanks to the know-how passed down from generation to generation in our family since 1880, we now have electronic Jacquard looms with digital controls that guarantee a perfect quality for our fabrics while respecting the most authentic Lyon traditions.
