An extra soft, thick wool men’s scarf for fighting off the cold at the height of winter. Decorated with a geometric design made up of irregular grey and off-white lines on a beige background, bringing you a classic chic look. Careful finishing work with large 6-7cm fringes and a fine hem along the lengths. Perfect as a Christmas gift. Made in Lyon, France.
INSPIRATION

This scarf’s design is a play on fragmented lines meant to make them look as if some are submerged beneath and some are placed above an imaginary middle layer, all arranged in a beautiful, harmonious yet spontaneous way. The effect created is linear and timeless. The color scheme is realized in blocks of stripes, with blocks of grey followed by blocks of off-white, all placed over a beige colored background.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

You can pair this timeless style scarf with lots of different outfits: tucked inside a black or brown leather coat for maximum comfort, or over a jacket or coat with the fringes out for a more relaxed look. You can also wear it with a brown or marine parka. Perfect for winter sports!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To swash a wool-based scarf, we advise washing by hand. Soak the scarf in a bit of tepid water (be careful as wool cannot be subjected to extreme temperatures). Use a gentle detergent or a wool-specific detergent. Do not wring out the scarf but instead dry it in a towel and lay flat. Iron on low heat with a generous use of the vapor function to restore the wool’s volume and softness. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf involves the interweaving of a rayon warp thread with a cashmere, cotton, and Merino wool weft thread, using a specific pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
