INSPIRATION

For this scarf, we have chosen a timeless style for the design, adding richness to its color palette. The composition of 13 wool and cotton threads woven together remains a technical feat and brings a unique and original style, in shades of sky blue, denim and soft beige. The mixture of silk, cotton and wool materials provides texture and gives the stole a vibrant appearance.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This stole in classic colors will match all your outfits with ease and can be worn in all seasons. The little hint of blue and beige will brighten up a natural look, as well as any blue or navy-based outfits.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a woolen stole, we recommend hand washing. Do not let your stole soak for too long, soak up excess water in a tea towel without wringing it and then lay flat to dry. Iron on high heat with steam to restore the volume and softness of the natural materials that make up the scarf. While it may not be put in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the Jacquard method, involves the interweaving of a silk warp thread with a Merino wool and cotton weft thread, using a specific pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
