An oversized square scarf featuring a revisited Scottish motif. Made of all natural materials, this large scarf is mainly composed of Merino wool, giving it warmth and softness. Another big plus is that Merino wool, unlike other wools, is not at all itchy. You will appreciate the high-end finishes with long fringes (about 7cm) on two edges and a thin hem on the other two edges. This oversized scarf features incomparable comfort and an original design by La Fabrique d'écharpe. Ideal for an ultra-chic and ultra-trendy end-of-year gift 100% made in France!
INSPIRATION

This pattern is inspired by Scottish tartans. Do you know that the tartans belonged to different Scottish clans, for example, the Royal Stewart tartan, made up of red stripes bordered with blue, black and yellow personally belongs to Queen Elizabeth II. Other well-known tartans include the Heritage of Scotland tartan or the Blackwatch tartan.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This large scarf can be worn as a shawl around your shoulders or as a stole wrapped tightly around your neck. Its large format is very trendy this winter and gives you a warm, wrapped look. It can even replace a mid-season coat. Very beautiful when paired with a jacket. Its color can be easily combined with all warm browns, camel, khaki, and marine. You can even use it as a throw blanket at home.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a primarily wool scarf, we recommend hand washing. Do not let your scarf soak for too long, put it in a towel to soak up excess water but do not wring it, then lay it flat to dry. Iron on high heat with steam to restore all the fluffiness and softness of the scarf’s natural materials. While you may not put it in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The shaped weaving technique, known as the Jacquard method, used to make this scarf involves the interlacing of warp and weft threads according to a specific pattern. To do this, the weaving workshop of La Fabrique d'écharpe has its own Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom is a weaving loom developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, the first programmable mechanical system with punched cards to produce patterns by interweaving colored threads. Thanks to the know-how passed down from generation to generation in our family since 1880, we now have electronic Jacquard looms with digital controls that guarantee a perfect quality for our fabrics while respecting the most authentic Lyon traditions.
