A soft and original stole made of natural materials. This particular blend of silk and cotton lends it an amazing feel to the touch and is of incomparable quality. The background motif consisting of animal skin designs and camouflage offers an elegant, timeless style while its khaki and ermerald green color scheme lends it luminosity. This scarf is made according to Jacquard technique handed down to us by our forebears here at our workshop in Lyon, France.
INSPIRATION

This scarf’s design was inspired by an African savannah scene, with animal skins and foliage blending together while seemingly in a game of hide-and-go-seek with each other. Our very fashionable khaki and green color scheme was chosen to compliment and illuminate the design.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This classic design and color scheme can be easily paired with the majority of your outfits. Perfect for everyday wear with a coat, a jacket, or a leather coat, for example, or with chocolate, orange, bordeaux red, and bronze colored clothes. Adds a touch of elegance and modernity to your over all look.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To swash a scarf made of all natural materials, we advise washing by hand with a detergent made specifically for low temperature washing. Do not let it soak for too long. The scarf can be dried in a cotton towel before putting on a hanger. Iron on high heat with vapor to preserve the volume of the natural fibers. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the Jacquard method, involves the interweaving of a silk warp thread with a cashmere, cotton, and silk weft thread, using a specific pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
