An oversized but very beautiful stole made of natural Merino wool, silk, and cotton, with very original drawings of large flowers placed over polka dots. It is extremely soft and delicate to the touch thanks to its pocket weave which adds depth to the scarf. This scarf is very warm and can be worn either as a shawl or as a scarf. You will note the very careful finish work on this piece, with small colored fringes at the ends and very fine hems along the lengths. A very original luxury gift that is easy to work into your wardrobe with its color scheme comprised of creative tones in brown and tobacco. This stole is 100% made at our workshop in Lyon, France.
INSPIRATION

The pattern was worked with both perforated and dotted effects superimposed, built up, and layered as seeds on the flat areas of the flowers. The design unfolds over the entire surface of the stole to give richness and breadth to the whole piece. The color scheme in creative tones: brown, tobacco and leather color, introduces a bit of seriousness to the scarf.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This stole can be worn as a shawl on the shoulders or as a scarf to face the coldest days of winter. Essential for accessorizing coats in the middle of winter, you can wear it with black, leather, navy blue, or blue jean…. If you’re wearing it over your shoulders, pair it with a black jacket and jeans or a leather jacket and anthracite pants, for example, at your mid-season events. A chic, elegant and sophisticated look.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a primarily wool scarf, we advise washing by hand. Do not let it soak for too long. To dry, put the scarf in a cotton towel to soak up the excess water, but do not wring it out or twist it. Then lay the scarf flat to dry. You can restore the scarf’s softness and delicate touch by ironing on high heat with the vapor function. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf involves the interweaving of silk warp thread with Merino wool and cotton weft threads, utilizing a specially curated pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
