A magnificent women’s stole of a 100% natural blend of Merino wool, silk, and cotton with a paisley design. Very warm and comfortable, it is perfect for extreme cold and ideal for the mountains and winter sports. It is also suitable for daily, active life in the city. The finishes are very neat, with hems along the lengths and small 1cm fringes at the bases. This stole is 100% French, woven at our Lyon workshop in the purest tradition of Jacquard weaving.
INSPIRATION

The paisley-inspired design with the addition of fine club stripes give this beautiful scarf a very modern look. The coloring of this stole is chic and trendy thanks to a mixture of several blues with silver and mauve highlights.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This stole is ideal for accessorizing winter outfits, both elegant and casual. Perfect over a coat or sailor jacket. You can wear it as a shawl over a dress or wrapped around your neck for winter sports or mountain walks.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a woolen stole, we recommend hand washing. Do not let your stole soak for too long, soak up excess water in a tea towel without wringing it and then lay flat to dry. Iron on high heat with steam to restore the volume and softness of the natural materials that make up the scarf. While it may not be put in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the Jacquard method, involves the interweaving of a silk warp thread with a Merino wool and cotton weft thread, using a specific pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
