A very large, warm men’s scarf meant to be worn at the height of winter. Its composition, which is mostly Merino wool, gives it a surprising softness and makes it very comfortable to wear. Ideal for winter sports, for motorcycle riding, but also for simply adding a special something to a more urban look, thanks to its large herringbone design which is highlighted by two bases in small “armor” designs. Since it is 6.5 feet long (2 meters), you can wrap it around your neck multiple times. This scarf’s color scheme is a very classic blue and black, making it easy to wear for almost any occasion. With amazing fabric and a classic style, this scarf is a perfect addition to your wardrobe.
INSPIRATION

Based on a chain-metal design, this large woven scarf imitates the look of scarf knitted by hand, since the herringbone design is realized with a large wool thread, and with the addition of royal blue and black gets a depth which creates an almost knitted, mesh look. A black stripe runs along the lengths of the hem, and the two ends of the scarf have different weaves which complete the ensemble. A lot of work went into this scarf, all while having a rather simple appearance.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

Perfect for cold snaps, this large, warm scarf can be worn with a marine blue or black parka for winter sports, or with a leather jacket for motorcycle rides, or or with a black overcoat to go to work. Its herringbone motif gives it a classic, fashionable look and will add a touch of elegance to your overall appearance.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a wool-based scarf, we advise washing by hand with a detergent meant for wool. Use tepid water, as wool does not tolerate high temperatures. Do not let it soak for too long. To dry, put the scarf in a towel to soak up the excess water, but do not wring it out or twist it. Then lay the scarf flat to dry. It must be ironed on low using the vapor function to restore the wool’s volume and softness. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving technique to make this scarf is an interweaving of silk warp threads with Merino wool weft threads following a specific pattern. To do this, we use Jacquard looms. The Jacquard method is a weaving method developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design. Thanks to our artisanal skills passed down from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronic looms controlled via very efficient software that allows the scarf to be produced quicker and with a higher level of quality than before, all while remaining within the true Lyon tradition.
