A warm, thick scarf made of a refined blend of natural silk and wool. This narrow but long scarf allows it to be wrapped several times around the neck for maximum comfort and to face the cold of winter with ease. It is of remarkable softness. Its design is a play on different weaves and stripes which are all in black for both the warp and the weft, combining for a very timeless, stylish effect. This scarf is perfect for accessorizing all sorts of winter outfits. A wonderful gift that would be appreciated by all men, no matter their style. This beautiful scarf is entirely made at our workshop in Lyon, France.
INSPIRATION

The design of this scarf was created to give a true bas relief effect on an entirely black scarf, and to thus add an originality and uniqueness to it. Thanks to the great diversity of weaves available in Jacquard weaving, a scarf that would otherwise be quite banal becomes highly sophisticated.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

Very easy to pair with almost all outfits, both classic and more relaxed looks, this scarf will add a touch of elegance to your ensemble. You can pair it with a brown coat or suit, with a leather jacket, or with a neutral colored parka. This is really an indispensable part of any man’s wardrobe.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a primarily wool scarf, we advise washing by hand. Do not let it soak for too long. To dry, put the scarf in a cotton towel to soak up the excess water, but do not wring it out or twist it. Then lay the scarf flat to dry. You can restore the scarf’s softness and delicate touch by ironing on high heat with the vapor function. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf involves the interweaving of silk warp thread with cashmere and cotton weft threads, utilizing a specially curated pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
